Content: The Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care and Public Health will consider the approval of the continuation of contractual arrangements for the Community Equipment Service as an interim arrangement to support whilst a longer-term service is then reprocured.   Summary of Decision: The Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care, Public Health and Voluntary Sector has approved the direct award a contract to Saadia Ltd trading as 24/7 Healthcare for an initial period of 18 months from 01/02/2026 to 31/07/2027, and has approved the direct award of a contract to Accora Limited (company number: 4915604) for the period 12/01/2026 to 30/04/2026 for an estimated total contract value of £418,259 (excluding VAT). The Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care, Public Health and Voluntary Sector has also noted the retrospective award to Accora Limited for the period 12/11/2025 to 11/01/2026 and spend of £71,456 which has been paid to the supplier.   Reasons for Decision: This decision has been taken to ensure that community equipment services can continue to meet the needs of vulnerable residents beyond the current contractual expiry date
