Purpose:

Content: Presented by officers of South Wales Police   Members thanked officers for their presentation and officers confirmed the following in response to questions;   ·       The challenge of achieveing a balanced budget is recognised however, it is a realistic prospect and risks are proprtionate.   ·       Policing may be penalised for large events coming up i.e in Cardiff City Centre due to a lack of funding.   ·       The medium term strategy is a sophisticated document with high accuracy.   ·       Regarding mental health officers are currently operating at 105% capacity, back office staff are being utilised, Occupational Health and Support and bringing officers into work when they are ready are priorities.   ·       The forecast is to breakeven regading current revenue position.   ·       A presentation regarding ASB work will be presented to members.   ·       The strategic policing plan focuses on accessibility and reliability.       Recommendations as contained within the report were approved.
