Purpose:

Content: Councillor Lesley McKay, Resources Portfolio Holder and Clare James, Director of Finance and Governance (and S.151 Officer) submitted a report seeking confirmation of the Treasury Management Policy and Annual Investment Strategy, Minimum Revenue Provision (MRP) Policy Statement and Capital Strategy 2026/27.   Councillor McKay introduced the report and responded to the comments made by Councillor Fail regarding his support for recognising environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations within the Treasury Management Strategy.   The following recommendation was approved, unanimously:   To approve the Treasury Management Policy and Annual Investment Strategy, Treasury Management Practices, MRP Policy Statement, Prudential Indicators and Capital Strategy for 2026/27 as considered by Cabinet at their meeting 11 February 2026.
