Purpose: This report seeks authority for a 2-year extension to the contract with Protector Insurance for the provision of building insurance for the council’s leasehold Housing Revenue Account (HRA) stock.    The contract was originally awarded in 2022 following competitive tender process for a term of 4 years with an option to extend for a further two years. The initial contract period will expire on 31 March 2026 and a 2-year extension is required to begin on 1 April 2026 to ensure the council meets its contractual obligations under the terms of leases to provide comprehensive building insurance.
