Decision Maker: Worthing Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Regeneration
Outcome:
Is Key Decision?: No
Is Callable In?: Yes
Purpose:
Content: Approve the release of £67,316.04 of funds from the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Other Agencies Pot (10%) held by Worthing Borough Council for the ‘Worthing Town Centre CCTV Cameras’ project as detailed in 3.1 onwards and to approve a budget virement of £67,316.04 from CIL monies for Worthing Borough Council, creating a capital budget of the same amount. The upgrading on the town centre CCTV is an important component for the police to have evidence of crimes and also to provide reassurance to the public. This scheme includes a deployable camera for hot spots in Worthing and cameras on the top accessible levels of the High Street Car Park. Therefore it will be more effective than the original scheme.
