Purpose:

Content: Consideration was given to the exempt report which sought approval for the disposal of land at Church Place, Brandling, Felling to the Gateshead Regeneration Partnership, to enable redevelopment of the site for residential use and to support the delivery of new housing as part of the Council’s regeneration objectives for the area.   RESOLVED – That, having considered a report in the absence of the press and public pursuant to Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended): i)                 Cabinet approved the disposal of the land at Church Place, Brandling, Felling to the Gateshead Regeneration Partnership, subject to planning permission being granted for the construction of 131 dwellings and subject to the transfer value being determined in accordance with the report.   The above decision was made for the following reasons: a)                 Development of vacant land for residential development. b)                 Provision of new housing within Felling.
