Purpose:

Content: Cllr Deborah Croxton in the Chair   The Cabinet was presented with a report seeking agreement to the STG Building Control Partnership’s draft Business Plan 2026- 2029.   The report also provided an update on the emerging plans for the Building Safety Levy which had been introduced by the Government and was set to go live in October 2026.               Resolved that:-   1.     the proposed STG Building Control Partnership Business Plan 2026-2029 be approved; 2.     the Secretary to the STG Building Control Joint Committee be notified on approval of the Business Plan prior to the annual meeting in June 2026; and 3.     Cabinet noted the emerging plans for the Building Safety Levy, which is set to go live in October 2026.   Note: Cllrs John Burden and Shane Mochrie-Cox left the Chamber during consideration of this item.
