Purpose: A fleet strategy setting out a five-year plan 2025 - 2030 to modernise the Council’s fleet to ensure operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with Merton’s climate objectives. It proposes the phased replacement of the Council’s existing fleet with low and zero-emission vehicles, supported by appropriate infrastructure investment.

Content: RESOLVED:   Cabinet is asked to:   A Approve the Fleet Strategy 2026-2030.   B. Approve expenditure of £15,879,510 on fleet vehicles in service areas detailed in Appendix B.   C. Note that £2,794,490 has already been spent from the allocated capital on the purchase of fleet vehicles to support short-term service requirements.   D. Delegate responsibility to the Executive Director of Environment, Civic Pride and Climate for changes to fleet purchase requirements to enable delivery of the strategy.
