Purpose: To approve that the Authority enter a Grant Agreement with the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government to accept £283,000 grant funding to support a feasibility study for bringing forward council land for affordable housing development. The decisions required include: It is recommended that the Director of Resources following consultation with the Cabinet Member for Housing and the Head of Law agrees: 1. to receive Grant Funding from Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government totaling £283,000; 2. subject to the Head of Law being fully satisfied with the terms of the Grant Funding Agreement appended to this report, to the Authority entering into that Agreement with Homes England in order to receive the £283,000 Grant Funding from the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government; and; 3. To include the acceptance of this Grant Funding in the next Performance and Financial Management Report presented to Cabinet.
