Purpose: The Cabinet, at its meeting on 25 June 2025 (report FIN/699refers), delegated authority to award this contractto the Leader of the Council in consultation with the relevant Cabinet Member, relevant Head of Service, and Head of Governance, People & Performance. The original plans for the Little Trees development date back to 2014/15 with the Phase 1 works completed in 2017. With the current Snell Hatch cemetery nearing capacity in 2027, this Phase 2 extension scheme at Little Trees will secure future provision of cemetery space for the borough for the next 30 years, up to year 2055.

That the contract for the Little Trees Cemetery extension works be awarded to Bidder 1 as set out in consideration report HPS/054.  This decision was taken in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Environment, Sustainability and Climate Change; Head of Major Projects and Commercial Services; and the Head of Law and Governance.
