Purpose:

Content: To agree the Resettlement Spend Plan for the next financial year and review in September 2026.   Reasons for recommendations: 1.      Committing to a year spend but reviewing every 6 months allows alignment with the current financial year and gives time to assess budget performance before the new financial year begins in April. 2.      It ensures spending remains within approved limits while allowing flexibility to adjust based on evolving priorities or funding changes. 3.      A review in September gives time to consult with stakeholders, partners, and service users to inform future decisions. 4.      It supports transparency and accountability in spend decisions.   Other options considered and rejected: To return the funding to the Home Office and not use it to support the resettlement community in Chorley or alleviate pressures on local services.
