Purpose: This report outlines the objections received as a part of a statutory consultation undertaken on proposed changes to disabled parking bays (batch 9) across the borough and sets out the Council’s assessment and final decision. The report aims to provide transparency in the decision-making process and ensure that the needs of all residents are considered in accordance with statutory obligations and council policies. It is recommended that the proposals where no objections have been received are implemented.

Content: 1.         Having given consideration to representations and objections received during statutory consultation (appendix D) to agree to the implementation of all measures as shown in Appendix E and Appendix F, at an estimated cost of £23,540 to be implemented in May 2026.   2.         To make traffic management orders for the parking restrictions under sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 124 and Schedule 1 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.   3.         To exercise discretion not to hold a public inquiry.
