Purpose:

Content: RESOLVED that –   (a)      following consultation with providers, Cabinet agree the fee rates as per Table 1 (paragraph 4.1) of the report which have been communicated to providers;   (b)      Cabinet agrees to only automatically uplift those providers who currently accept the indicative fee rate and ask any other providers charging above the new indicative fee rate to engage in an open book exercise to determine the true cost of care using the Care Cubed methodology;   (c)      Cabinet agrees the continued approach to build and maintain positive and constructive relationships with providers to support the delivery of good quality care in Denbighshire.  Supporting the Council’s responsibility to deliver a fair price for care and be the steward of the public purse, securing the best value for the taxpayer, whilst ensuring a sustainable social care service for the future, and   (d)      Cabinet agrees that from 2027/2028 all care fee setting will be completed using the Care Cubed methodology which will allow the Council to negotiate in an open and transparent way a fair price for care based on a bespoke individual provider agreement.
