Purpose: The report will provide an update on the work of the strategic finance programme along with a final report on delivery of the 2024 Assurance Review recommendations.

Content: The report will provide an update on the work of the strategic finance programme along with a final report on delivery of the 2024 Assurance Review recommendations. (Non-key decision):   1)    To note the report, including the revised structure of the programme; and   2)    To agree that all relevant actions have been undertaken to fully address the recommendations of the 2024 Assurance Review (Appendix 1 to the report).   3)    That Cabinet and the Council’s Corporate Management Team maintain oversight of the relevant actions arising from the 2024 Assurance Review, and that a further report is brought to Scrutiny and the Cabinet in approximately 12 months, confirming that the implemented measures remain embedded and effective, and set out any further enhancements made to strengthen the Council’s governance arrangements.
