Purpose:

Content: 1)    Following discussion with the supplier and confirmation that there will be no financial penalty, to cancel the current order of five food waste collection vehicles.   2)    Following discussion with the supplier and confirmation that there will be no financial penalty, to delay delivery and receipt of internal and external food waste caddies until January 2028.   3)    To utilise an additional £39k of the £100,000 set aside to fund an extension of the Waste Project Officer post. This includes approval to extend the duration of the post by 10 months, increasing the contract term from 24 months to 34 months, in order to provide continued capacity for the mobilisation of household food waste collections commencing in April 2028. Subject to approval, the revised contract end date will be June 2028, instead of the current end date of August 2027.
