Purpose: To seek approval to award a bespoke Schools Insurance contract with Zurich Municipal, for the period of 31 March 2026 to 30 March 2027.

Content: To seek approval to award a bespoke Schools Insurance contract with Zurich Municipal, for the period of 31 March 2026 to 30 March 2027. To Direct Award the Schools Insurance contract for 2026-27 to Zurich Municipal as requested by schools following a vote for preferred option and as ratified at the Education Funding Forum meeting of 25 February 2026. To provide the Mandatory Insurance requirement for schools to protect the assets and liabilities of the schools and the Council. To support the decision of Schools and the Education Finding Forum in their choice of this insurance option. Schools rejected an alternative option to join the Department for Educations Risk Protection Arrangement by 32 votes to 5.
