Purpose: This report seeks approval to establish one new post of Environmental Maintenance Apprentice (Grade B).  This post is funded via permanent revenue funding as set out in this report.  

Content: This report seeks approval to establish one new post of Environmental Maintenance Apprentice (Grade B).  This post is funded via permanent revenue funding as set out in this report.   The Executive Director (Resources and Partnerships) is recommended to:-   (i)    Approve the disestablishment of one Full Time Equivalent (FTE) Level 2 Environmental Maintenance Worker (Grade F) post upon being vacated;   (ii)   Approve the establishment of one Full Time Equivalent (FTE) Environmental Maintenance Apprentice (Grade B) post; and   (iii)Approve the appointment to the new Environmental Maintenance Apprentice (Grade B) post.   Not establishing this post will negatively impact upon the delivery of the Service’s wider objectives.
