Purpose: The purpose of this report is to inform the Cabinet Member of the Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership’s role in providing an annual concert to the county’s and city’s pupils, who have taken part in the Classroom Instrumental Learning projects each academic year; in order to fulfil the conditions dictated by the Arts Council England.   The Cabinet Member is asked to: a) Note the work of Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership’s in meeting their grant terms to provide annual concerts for their Classroom Instrumental Learning project pupils. b) Note the need to find the most suitable venue to hold these concerts. c) Approve the anticipated spend of up to £190,818 for the provision of venue hire services for the annual concerts over a potential four-year period, based on an initial one-year contract with up to three optional one-year extensions (£44,272+£46,485+£48,810+£51,250).
