Purpose:

Content: The Environment Portfolio Holder made the following decision:   To approve the award of the contract for the Highways Drainage Cleansing Service as detailed in the accompanying Part 2 report, for a six years and nine months contract, commencing 1 July 2026, with the option to extend for a further period of two years.   To approve the delegation of authority to apply the extension option to the Director of Environment and Public Protection, subject to consultation with the Portfolio Holder, the Assistant Director Governance & Contracts, the Director of Corporate Services and the Director of Finance.   On June 25th 2025, the Executive agreed to proceed to procurement for the Highways Contracts (Report ES20494). The contract award report presented to the ECS PDS Committee on 17th March 2026, (with the accompanying Part 2 report), set out the outcome of the tendering process for the Highways Drainage Cleansing Services and the recommended award of contract.
