Purpose: Permission to fund Call Before You Serve for 2026-27

Content: Permission to fund Call Before You Serve for 2026-27 Delegated Decision Ref: 26/15/H   To approve the funding of £10,000 to Permission to fund Call Before You Serve for 2026-27 with Derby City Council, DASH service. The Legal Services Manager be authorised to negotiate, finalise and complete all necessary legal agreements and other documents to give effect to the above Call Before You Serve is a prevention service for landlords to be able to notify the service before they decide to evict a tenant. The service will then work with the tenant with issues such as debt and ASB to prevent the eviction. The funding for this project will come from the Homeless Prevention Grant funding which is ring-fenced for homeless prevention measures. A funding agreement and information sharing protocol will be completed with Call Before You Serve from the 1st of April 2026 until the 31st of March 2027.   : Not to fund would not be a viable option as prevention work is a key priority of the service.
