Purpose: Approval to fund Slavery Exploitation Team

Content: Approval to fund Slavery Exploitation Team Delegated Decision Ref: 26/14/H   In accordance with the Council’s Scheme of Delegation, the Assistant Director for Housing will fund £18,631 to the Slavery Exploitation Team at Nottingham City Council and enter into a Funding Agreement from the 1st of April 2026 until the 31st of March 2027, for the provision of co-ordination to residents affected by modern day slavery. The funding will be provided from the Homelessness Prevention Grant 2026-27 which is ring fenced for homeless prevention projects. The service is a County funded service that all eight districts have committed to for 2026-27 To continue to deliver the Slavery Exploitation Team with Nottingham City Council for vulnerable residents in the district and to prevent homelessness.   To not fund this project would leave a lack of resource to support vulnerable residents in the district.
