Content: Agree to Facilitate CCTV Integration Project on behalf of Ashfield District Council Delegated Decision Ref: 26/04/HW The decision is to assist and manage a CCTV integration project on behalf of Ashfield District Council (ADC), to enable the transfer of CCTV cameras into the MDC CCTV control room. The project will be a one-off activity to a value of £60K This decision should be cross-referenced with the decision to provide CCTV services to ADC as per ODR reference 26/06/HW MDC CCTV has the knowledge and expertise to assist with project management to enable the transfer of CCTV cameras over to the MDC CCTV control room. CCTV services will be managed and monitored by MDC on behalf of ADC thereafter, subject to an agreed service level agreement The integration project will require MDC to manage the process to purchase, install and programme all ADC owned cameras, whilst maintaining system security and integrity of new assets introduced to MDC. ADC will provide £60K project funds to purchase all necessary equipment and services and incorporate a £2K project administration fee for MDC CCTV services.[NB1] ADC have explored other providers and suppliers and selected TIS Ltd as their preferred option to carry out the necessary technical works on behalf of ADC. TIS Ltd are the incumbent maintenance supplier, under procured contract with MDC, and have in-depth knowledge of MDC’s CCTV technical directory and video management system, to ensure all cyber security protocols are applied during the transition of CCTV assets from ADC. The project is considered urgent due to ADC’s current contract expiring on 31/03/2026. MDC’s decision to provide these services reference 26/06/HW, will mean that the integration project is necessary to fulfil the contract requirements. Options considered by ADC included Joining with Newark and Sherwood, new CCTV project which was rejected by N&S Council Remaining with a current supplier, who’s services were unsatisfactory Transitioning into a NCC control room which became cost prohibitive. ADC Chose to replicate contracted services with MDC over a 12-month period to enable a prompt solution to services being terminated on 31/03/2026. ADC’s intention would be to provide continuity of CCTV services as soon as practicable from April 2026 onwards and during the period of contract, review future options to secure quality CCTV services to sustain ongoing support for their community safety objectives.
