Purpose:

Content: Approval is sought to extend the contracts of two existing Planning Consultants, currently engaged within the Development Management service, and supplied by Vivid Resourcing. These officers were originally appointed under decision references CEX580, CEX547, CEX495 (related to Planning Performance agreements) and CEX607, following a compliant procurement exercise involving 11 suppliers and interviews with shortlisted candidates.   The extension will retain both consultants for an additional 12-week period, ensuring continuity of critical service capacity to support caseload management, maintain progress on the Planning Productivity Plan, and uphold operational improvements established through Short Interval Management (SIM).   No changes to scope, rates, or working arrangements are proposed. The extension is required to prevent disruption to service delivery and to maintain stability during a period of elevated workloads, operational change, and ongoing recruitment challenges.
