Purpose:

Content: Parking fees and charges at Alpha Road Car Park, Birchington will be suspended on the third Sunday of every month for the monthly farmers market. The Farmers Market is a new venture for Birchington and will encourage people to visit the Village on a Sunday. There is currently no provision for free parking in Birchington like there is in other key areas of the District. The alternative of continuing to charge for parking in Alpha Road car park was considered but rejected due to the positive impacts of supporting this new farmers market.
