Purpose: To approve the recommendations of the Pay and Reward Panel regarding the NJC Cost of Living Pay Award, and to approve the 2026 Pay Statement

Content: To approve the recommendations of the Pay and Reward Panel regarding the NJC Cost of Living Pay Award, and to approve the 2026 Pay Statement RESOLVED:   (i)       The recommendation of the Pay & Reward Panel to delete SCP2 from the NJC pay structure from 1 April 2026 with the consequential changes to pay grades G02 and G03 be approved; (ii)      Following a 6 month period, a report to go to the Pay & Reward Panel to consider any implications arising from the change to the NJC pay structure; (iii)     That Council approve the 2026 Pay Statement for publication in March 2026; (iv)     That Council approve the revised Terms of Reference of the Pay & Reward Panel.   REASONS FOR DECISION (i)             To approve a revised pay structure for NJC employees aligned with the nationally agreed pay structure.   (ii)            To meet the requirements of Chapter 8 of the Localism Act 2011 by ensuring that the Pay Statement is reviewed with its supporting documents and published annually.   (iii)          To approve the revised Terms of Reference of the Pay & Reward Panel
