The site has been declared surplus by Housing Services.     ROTHERHAM METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL   RECORD OF OFFICER NON-EXECUTIVE DECISION     Date of Decision:   26th March 2026 Title: Disposal of Garage Site at Spring Street, East Herringthorpe   Decision Maker: (Including Job Title) Kevin Fisher, Service Director Property & Facilities Services   Details of Specific Delegation   or   Delegation contained in the relevant Sub-Scheme of Delegation.   Decision taken under the powers granted to the Property Officer under section 29.12 & 42 of the Council’s Financial Procurement Procedure Rules (Appendix 5 of the Council’s Constitution).   Paragraph 29.12.1 states where the estimated disposal value is less than £100,000 the Property Officer, having taken financial and legal advice, may arrange for the disposal of land or property.   Paragraph 42, delegates disposals and the negotiation of terms of disposals to the Council Property Officer   Decision: That the Service Director for Property & Facilities Services approves the disposal of the freehold interest in the garage site at Spring Street, East Herringthorpe by public auction.   Reasons for the Decision: The garage site is surplus to the Councils requirements and has been sold by public auction for £7,000.   Conflicts of interest declared by the Decision Maker if they sit as a Cabinet appointed representative to an outside body which relates to the decision:   No conflicts.
