Purpose: The council’s current contract for the processing of the recycling collected from the dry mixed recycling service ends on 5 June 2026. Ealing Council (the council) has participated in a joint procurement with the London Borough of Brent, led by the West London Waste Authority (WLWA), for a new contract for a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) Service for the sorting and recycling of dry mixed recyclable materials. This report seeks approval to award the contract following completion of a mini competition led by WLWA under the Waste and Recycling Offtakes for the West London Waste Authority Dynamic Purchasing System, and to authorise the WLWA to enter into the contract on behalf of the council for the sorting and recycling of dry mixed recyclables, commencing from 6 June 2026.
