Purpose: Part of the role of Housing Benefits is to provide a policy to consider making addition housing payments to those receiving Housing Benefits or Universal Credit Housing Costs. Discretionary Housing Payments end from 31 March 2026. This policy will provide information on the new Housing Payments replacing Discretionary Housing Payments from April 2026. The new policy will link into the Crisis & Resilience Fund which replaces the Household Support Fund from April 2026.
