Decision Maker: Cabinet

Outcome: Recommendations Approved

Is Key Decision?: No

Is Callable In?: No

Purpose:

Content: The Cabinet had before it and NOTED a report* from the Head of People, Performance and Waste and the Corporate Performance and Improvement Manager providing a quarter 3 Performance.   The Corporate Performance and Improvement Manager outlined the contents of the report with particular reference to the following:   The report presented the Quarter 3 Performance report, covering performance up to 31 December 2025. The report and dashboards were structured around the five corporate plan themes and included 100 performance measures across Council services. Corporate Plan indicators were highlighted in yellow, with detailed theme-by-theme analysis provided in Section 2 of the report. The dashboards had been reviewed by the relevant Policy Development Group (PDG) and the Planning Committee. A typographical error was noted at paragraph 2.2, which should refer to 31 December 2025, not 2026.   Discussion took place with regards to:   Members welcomed the support for Town Centre and Tourism events through the corporate plan performance indicators and noted the Council had supported 26 events, was there a list of events available to be promoted? It was explained that a list would be circulated in due course. The low number of new subscribers to ‘Let’s Talk Mid Devon’, noting that while engagement was important, a sufficient volume of subscribers was also needed to ensure value and viability. It was emphasised that there was a need to actively promote customer-facing apps to increase both awareness and engagement. It was highlighted to Members that a full report of ‘Let’s Talk Mid Devon’ would be presented to the next Scrutiny Committee.   Reason for Decision: Performance management helps the Council meet their duties in relation to Value for Money.   Note: * Report previously circulated.
