Is Key Decision?: No

Is Callable In?: No

Purpose:

Content: Waiving of Fees and Charges for 'Full Circle' Expedition and 'Big Bear Voyage 2026.' ·  Waive all berthing fees for the two tall ships (Spirit of Falmouth and Pellew) and the 15m support vessel associated with the 'Full Circle' expedition are waived for their 3-day scheduled stay, arriving around 03 April 2026. ·  Waive all berthing fees for the yacht 'Big Bear' are waived for its two-day scheduled stay, around 5-6 August 2026. The decision is made to support and acknowledge the significant charitable nature of both events, which bring a positive profile to Ramsgate as a port supporting valuable causes. ·  The 'Full Circle' expedition by the charity Turn to Starboard, in partnership with the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027, is a powerful initiative supporting the recovery and rehabilitation of wounded, injured, or sick Armed Forces personnel. Waiving the estimated fee of £883.95 for the two 28m tall ships and the 15m support vessel for 3 days is a tangible show of support for their work. ·  The 'Big Bear Voyage 2026' is a round-Britain circumnavigation in support of BBC Children in Need. Waiving the estimated fee of £132.80 for the Big Bear yacht for its two-day stay is recommended due to the charitable purpose and the positive community engagement it will bring to the Port of Ramsgate. ·  Not waiving any fees: This alternative was rejected. Requiring full payment would diminish the positive profile and show of support for these significant charitable causes and would likely reduce the success of their visits to the Royal Harbour. ·  Only providing a partial waiver (e.g., 25%): This alternative was rejected. A full fee waiver for both charity visits is considered a more fitting and strong demonstration of support for their valuable work and mission.
