Purpose:

Content: Consideration was given to the new Post 16 Education Strategy, including the consultation process and arrangements for final approval. The report aimed to secure Cabinet endorsement of the Strategy, which promotes a place based approach to post 16 education to improve participation, employment outcomes, health and wellbeing for residents.   RESOLVED: i)                 Cabinet recommended to Council approval of the implementation of the Post 16 Strategy.   The above decision was made for the following reason: a)                 To demonstrate the Council’s commitment to improving the lives of residents through post 16 education. b)                 To drive a place based approach to education planning.
