Purpose:

Content: Consideration was given to the introduction of a new Behaviour Framework to underpin the Council’s refreshed Corporate Values, previously approved by Full Council. The report sought Cabinet agreement to recommend adoption of the Framework to Full Council, ensuring values are translated into clear, practical and measurable behaviours to support a positive organisational culture and high performance.   RESOLVED: i)                 Cabinet agreed to recommend to Full Council the Behaviour Framework that will underpin the Council’s refreshed Corporate Values.   The above decision was made for the following reasons:   a)                 To ensure the Council’s values and behaviour framework reflects current needs and strategic priorities. b)                 To ensure the corporate values and behaviours are relevant, meaningful and resonate with employees and stakeholders. c)                 To support the development of a positive organisational culture, differentiate the Council as an employer and strengthen attraction and retention of talented individuals. d)                 To ensure the behaviour framework aligns with the Values and sets out how people are expected to behave and not behave.
