That the Council agrees to grant the licence to assign. The Council owns the freehold of the property with a lease to the head tenant at a peppercorn for 99 years from 1987. The head tenant has an underlease to the occupier which expires in 2034. The undertenant wishes to assign its lease to a connected company and the head tenant has asked the Council to grant a licence to assign for this purpose. The Council’s solicitors are drafting the licence to assign, and its costs will be covered. Agree to grant the licence to assign; or Decline to grant the licence to assign.
