Purpose:

Content: To approve pilot Rent Guarantee Scheme for asylum seekers granted refugee status leaving Dispersal Accommodation, run by the Housing Capacity Team.     To agree £10,000 to be used from the Dispersal Grant to mitigate any financial liability to South Oxfordshire District Council.   To agree that the Migration Integration Team will provide tenancy support to the households when they move into private rented accommodation.     The Scheme is fully funded from Government grants that are ring-fenced for supporting asylum seekers and those given refugee status after asylum claim is settled.
