Purpose: The report outlines the process required for BMBC to acceptthe funding for the South Yorkshire Tobacco Control Alliance from all LA’s in the region to achieve delegated authority to proceed on a 3-year basis on behalf of the alliance and programme delivery and for BMBC to act as lead authority for the Alliance.
Content: The report outlines the process required for BMBC to acceptthe funding for the South Yorkshire Tobacco Control Alliance from all LA’s in the region to achieve delegated authority to proceed on a 3-year basis on behalf of the alliance and programme delivery and for BMBC to act as lead authority for the Alliance. Approves BMBC continuing to act as the lead authority for the South Yorkshire Tobacco Control Alliance (SYTCA). Authorises BMBC to accept three years of Public Health ring-fenced smoking cessation grant funding from the South Yorkshire local authorities, totalling £491,973 per year. Approves the extension of the existing legal partnership agreement between the four South Yorkshire local authorities for a further three-year period. Approves the continuation of the commissioning arrangements with Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to host Alliance staff and deliver the SYTCA programme. Approves the continuation of the SYTCA funding contribution to the Yorkshire and Humber Collaborative hosted by the Humber and North Yorkshire NHS Integrated Care Board, Centre for Excellence. Give delegated authority to the Executive Director of Public Health and Communities to proceed with all associated commissioning arrangements in relation to the South Yorkshire Tobacco Control Alliance.
