Purpose:

Content: The Director of Resources and Deputy Chief Executive submitted a report seeking endorsement of the Accounting Policies to be used in producing the Financial Statements for the Council for the 2025/26 financial year.   The main change to the policies this year has been around the indexation of non-investment assets, such as property, plant and equipment. Finance staff had been in discussions with the council’s valuers and had also sought clarification and training through CIPFA.   RESOLVED THAT COMMITTEE:   Approved the use of the accounting policies as shown at Annex 1 to the report.
