Purpose: To seek approval for the proposed policy for the provision of transport assistance to young people and adult learners in education or training. The council must publish these arrangements in a Post 16 Transport Policy Statement (TPS) each academic year by 31 May.

Content: To seek approval for the proposed policy for the provision of transport assistance to young people and adult learners in education or training. The council must publish these arrangements in a Post 16 Transport Policy Statement (TPS) each academic year by 31 May. To approve the new Post 16 Transport Policy Statement for the 2026 – 2027 Academic Year By law, support available to the 16 to 25 age group must be set out in a transport policy statement. There is a statutory duty to publish this by 31 May 2026. None as there are no proposed changes apart from the planned removal of an exception for those with SEND in year 13 in the 2025 – 2026 academic year.
