Purpose: The Crisis and Resilience Fund has been established to assist local authorities in England from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029. The fund's dual purpose is to provide a safety net for households experiencing sudden financial shocks and to invest in services that strengthen individual and community resilience. Following the cessation of the Household Support Fund, the council intends to maintain support to the Darlington based foodbanks, with the intention of reducing in the support over the next financial year by encouraging residents to engagement in the financial resilience programme.
