Purpose: The total value of these contracts will exceed the £500,000 threshold for the duration of the contracted period, therefore in line with Council’s governance, this activity will need to be added to the Council’s forward plan. The local authority is intending to extend and vary the existing contract with Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT) for the continued delivery of the Baby Steps perinatal parenting programme.

Content: To approve a waiver under section 17.2(a) of the council’s Contract Standing Orders to extend the contract for Guy’s and St Thomas maternity services to continue to deliver Baby Steps in Lambeth. The contract extension will run from 1 April 2026 to 31 July 2026 at a value of £88,000. The current contract runs from January 2024 to 31 March 2026 at a value of £471,549 with a total value of £559,549 over the term of the contract.
