Purpose: The County Council commissions Chichester College Group to deliver a unique education provision for pupils aged 14-16 whose needs are deemed better met by a more vocational curriculum.   The package of provision is known as ‘Freshstart’ and is delivered across selected campuses constituting the Chichester College Group (CCG).   Building on the success of the service to date it is proposed to continue to commission CCG to continue offering this provision until July 2028. This style of provision for selected Key Stage 4 learners in such a further education setting provides a variable package of core, vocational and enrichment education at an appropriate level. Individual packages are tailored to best suit the academic, social and emotional needs of each learner in order to achieve and maximise positive progression post-Key Stage 4 (KS4).
