Purpose: The proposed restrictions sought to mitigate the impact of potentially obstructive on-street parking on the narrow carriageway that was hindering access to refuse lorries and that had resulted in multiple missed bin collections within Garfield Road, Hugglescote.The extent of the proposed waiting restrictions would ensure that vehicles do not obstruct or block the safe passage of refuse vehicles, larger vehicles and emergency service vehicles from access.The proposed restrictions sought to benefit the safety for all road users in this location.This scheme was proposed on the grounds of road safety.
