Purpose: Addition of schemes at various educational settings around Warwickshire

Content: Resolved   That Cabinet:   1)      Approves the addition of £0.400 million to the capital programme to deliver Disability Access Capital Works to be funded from the High Needs Provision Capital Allocation;   2)      Approves the addition of £0.400 million to the capital programme to deliver safeguarding and security capital works, to be funded from the Schools Condition Allocation;   3)      Approves the addition to the capital programme of £0.026 million to deliver the scheme at Burton Green CofE Academy (Kenilworth). This will be funded by developer contributions;   4)      Subject to Department for Education approval to the required ‘significant change’ application, approves the establishment of resourced provision at Ashlawn School (Rugby) and approves the addition to the capital programme of £0.077 million, funded by Developer Funding, to deliver the prescribed alteration;   5)      Approves the addition of £0.234 million to the capital programme to deliver the scheme at Bilton School (Rugby). This will be funded by developer contributions;   6)      Approves the addition of £0.525 million to the capital programme to deliver the scheme at Brooke School (Rugby), funded from developer contributions and the High Needs Provision Capital Allocation; and   7)      Authorises the Executive Director for Children and Young People, in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Finance and Property, to carry out appropriate procurement processes and to enter into all relevant and appropriate contracts or (where the scheme is school led) to make the necessary funding arrangements for these schemes on terms and conditions considered acceptable to the Executive Director for Resources.
