Purpose:

Content: The Committee was asked to consider applications to hire Englefield Green in 2026 and instruct Officers accordingly.   The Council had received 4 applications to hold an event, and one request to change the date of an event already approved by the Committee.   The report detailed each event and appended to the report were the individual event application forms.   The Committee was supportive of all the event applications noting the benefit they brought to the community.       Resolved that:   i)              The application from the Englefield Green Cricket Club to hold a Club Day on 24th May 2026 be approved.   ii)             The application from the Englefield Green Village Residents’ Association to hold the Englefield Green Village Fair on 20th June 2026 be approved.   iii)           The application from the Englefield Green Cricket Club to hold a President’s Day on the 30th August 2026 be approved.   iv)           The application from Doig Classics to hold a Classic Car Show on the Green on 13th September 2026 be approved   v)            The application from Horton’s Steam Fair to change the date of their use of the Green to 29th September to 6th October 2026 be approved
