Purpose: request for discretionary grant to top up cost of work over mandatory limit

Content: 1.    Agreed to the provision of a discretionary grant for the case detailed in the report below, up to a maximum of £38,800 for adaptations to be made to the family home, so that the recipient can leave the nursing home funded by the Council. 2.    Agreed that a Local Land Charge be placed on the property for the full value of the additional top up. If the property is sold at any time in the future this money would then become repayable to the council.
