Purpose:

Content: To approve the Council’s Safeguarding Policy as contained in Appendix 1 to the report.     Horsham District Council wishes to introduce a safeguarding policy to ensure that safeguarding concerns are appropriately addressed in a consistent manner. The policy has been revised to reflect current procedures and streamlined to ensure that only relevant information is included.   Not updating the policy was rejected as it would risk inconsistency in approach and possibly increase the likelihood of safeguarding concerns not being managed appropriately. None.
