Purpose: The report sets out proposals in relation to the structure of Family And Community Education (FACE) with a viewto increasing the dedicated resources within the service, increasing team capacity to provide effective adult education opportunities, covering the service during an expected Ofsted inspection and to further strengthen service capacity whilst planning for 2026/27 curriculum provision.

Content: The report sets out proposals in relation to the structure of Family And Community Education (FACE) with a viewto increasing the dedicated resources within the service, increasing team capacity to provide effective adult education opportunities, covering the service during an expected Ofsted inspection and to further strengthen service capacity whilst planning for 2026/27 curriculum provision. It is recommended that the Executive Director (Children’s Services) in consultation with the Executive Director (Resources and Partnerships):   ·       Agree to the extension of the Community Education Standards Manager post (Grade O) until 30 April 2026 (from the current contract expiry date of 31 March 2026).   Maintain current contract expiry date. This is rejected because maintaining the current date would limit FACE capacity to deliver effective and successful outcomes for adult learners during the 2025/26 academic year.
