Purpose:

Content: 1.             To agree that the council work to develop closer relationships with the neighbouring borough councils of South Ribble and West Lancashire. 2.             To agree the Chief Executive (Head of Paid Service) be shared with West Lancashire Borough Council, and delegate to the Head of People, Policy and Partnerships in consultation with the Executive Leader the authority to agree the start date. 3.             To agree the Monitoring Officer post be shared with West Lancashire Borough Council and designate Kay Lovelady as Monitoring Officer for Chorley effective from 1 June 2026. 4.             To delegate authority to the Head of People, Policy and Partnerships to finalise and enter a s113 agreement to realise these arrangements. 5.             To delegate authority to the Interim Monitoring Officer to make changes to the constitution reflective of newly created roles as applicable.
