Purpose: The Somer Valley Links project is funded through the West of England Combined Authority (WECA). An additional allocation of budget for the Business Case phase of Somer Valley Links is required. The project will seek to progress this through Change Control with WECA, however the timescales mean that £1.27m temporary budget is required until 31st July 2026 to avoid delay to project activities.

Content: The Cabinet Member agrees the approval the allocation of £1.27m budget from the match funding for the City Region Sustainable Transport Strategy (CRSTS) programme until additional budget is released through WECA Change Control. To ensure the project makes contractual commitments and achieve it’s start on site dates. It could be decided to accept delays to the Business Case phase for Somer Valley Links. This would impact construction start dates and prevent the use of construction windows during 2026. None
