Content: *RESOLVED – 1. That the outcome of the consultation received on the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) Chesterfield (No1) (relating to restricting alcohol consumption) and the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) Chesterfield (No2) (relating to other anti-social behaviour controls) be noted. 2. That it be approved to extend the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) Chesterfield (No1) (relating to restricting alcohol consumption) and the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) Chesterfield (No2) (relating to other anti-social behaviour controls) as set out in Appendices 1 and 2 to the officer’s report, with effect from 20 May 2026 until 15 December 2026, to align with the existing orders. REASONS FOR DECISIONS 1. To ensure that anti-social behaviour can be effectively dealt with in the area, as set out in Appendix 1 to the officer’s report. 2. Extending the geographical scope of the PSPO will enable a more joined?up, proportionate and effective response to ASB, ensuring the PSPO remains fit for purpose and continues to protect the quality of life of those who live, work and visit the wider town centre area. 3. Strengthen preventative approaches by addressing the root causes of displacement, providing flexibility to intervene earlier, and ensuring that controls adequately reflect the current pattern of activity.
