Purpose:

Content: To approve the direct award of a contract to a suitable Project Manager for the provision of senior project management support across the Local Government Reorganisation (‘LGR’) Finance workstream for up to 11 months (‘the contract’).   To delegate authority to the Director of Resources to select a suitable Project Manager and to award the contract.   To delegate authority to the Director of Resources in consultation with the Head of Legal and Democratic Services to finalise the terms and conditions of, and to approve the entering into of, the contract.   This role requires very specialised knowledge and experience of LGR Finance workstream processes, which not many candidates would fulfil. A local dynamic purchasing agreement is not suitable for this role and there is no public sector framework the Council could call off from.   Specialist recruitment agencies dealing with such interim appointments prove most costly with higher day rate and agency fees.   There were no internal applicants for this role.   None
